On Friday 20th September 2024, Chris Denchfield gave an illustrated talk about the tragic last flight of Amelia Earhart and the mystery of her disappearance at the age of 39. He presented his research findings as to where she might be and also gave some context to her life, including her connections with the UK, her social and nursing work and her faith.
The presentation was well received by an appreciative audience ranging from 3 to 94 years, and through donations a substantial sum of £390 was raised for the Kent, Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance.
