The evening was full of laughter and energy as everyone enjoyed a wide variety of games together. At our Junior Church session on Sunday 11 January, the children explored the story of Mary and Joseph’s flight to Egypt, reflecting on what it meant to leave home suddenly and travel to an unknown place. Together, the group made thoughtful links between this Bible story and the experiences of modern-day refugees and asylum seekers. Our Nativity Service this year was a joyful and very special occasion, shaped and led by our young people. Working alongside Paula, they helped to write the service, bringing creativity, enthusiasm and fresh perspective to the heart of our worship.
