At Junior Church on Sunday 13 April, children at Reigate Park Church took a joyful step back in time to explore what life might have been like for Jesus as a boy growing up in Nazareth.

Together, we imagined what games Jesus may have played with his friends and siblings — not a perspective we often think about! Lively games and fun challenges tested everyone’s balance, speed and judgement, sparking lots of laughter and energy.

The fun didn’t stop there — during coffee time after the service, some enthusiastic adults joined in the games too, creating a brilliant atmosphere of shared joy across the generations.

To round off the session, each child was given their very own set of ‘five stones’ to take home — a simple and traditional game that Jesus Himself might have played.

It was a morning full of curiosity, movement, and connection — reminding us that even in play, there are special ways to connect with Jesus’ story.
