Church Family Quiz Raises Over £1,300 for UNICEF

A fantastic evening of community spirit and friendly competition saw around 90 people gather for a Church Family Quiz in aid of UNICEF on 21st March 2026.

The event brought together approximately 12 teams, with participants representing not only local church groups but also wider community organisations. The strong turnout created a lively and welcoming atmosphere, reflecting the shared desire to support an important global cause.

The evening began with a simple but well-received meal of tacos and wraps, featuring chilli and ragu fillings. Organisers opted to prepare the food themselves, a decision that proved popular with attendees while also helping to maximise the funds raised for UNICEF.

The quiz itself was devised and led by local headteacher Tim Samuel, who delivered a challenging and engaging experience. With several unusual rounds included, teams were kept on their toes throughout the night, adding to the fun and competitive spirit.

Thanks to the generosity of those who attended, the event raised an impressive total of £1,336. This has now been sent to UNICEF, contributing to their vital work supporting children around the world.

Feedback from attendees has been overwhelmingly positive, with many praising both the organisation of the event and the enjoyable atmosphere.
